Military systems, especially those intended to operate on
the NBC battlefield, must withstand a daunting gauntlet
of challenges. Innovative technology is essential but much
more is required to insure equipment reaches field readiness
without compromising system specifications that gave rise
to its need. Guild has met these challenges with great success.
Much of this success is due to a key activity in Guild’s
preproduction philosophy, which is a completion of a detailed
manufacturing analysis early in the development stage, simplicity,
standardization, use of common materials and similar design
attributes are integrated into the design wherever practicable.
Initiating production raises a whole new set of requirements.
Producibility, verifiable cost accounting and subcontractor
control all become issues. Guild created a production department
with an emphasis on assembly and test capability for highly
valued engineered systems. In Guild’s early years,
time was spent cultivating a much larger “virtual
company” by virtue of access to a comprehensive network
of supporting machine & welding shops, painting and
specialty fabricators that provide outstanding service at
competitive pricing.
Guild prides itself as a “full service company”
with capacity to perform all stages of development from
conceptual prototype to full production, and the resources
for all aspects of logistical support from in house technical
manuals to depot maintenance.
For the past two decades Guild has developed a variety of
military systems for such organizations as SBCCOM, USAMRMC,
and other related DoD groups. Below is a list of these programs.
